Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today expressed deep grief over the death of Kalia, the separated conjoined twin, at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack last night.
In his twitter handle, CM said Kalia’s death despite efforts and best treatment provided by doctors, is very disheartening. Praying for peace of the departed soul, Patnaik said, “May god give strength to the bereaved family members in this difficult time.”
The CM also prayed for good health of Jaga, the twin brother of the deceased.
According to hospital sources, health condition of Kalia had deteriorated in the last one week and he passed away due to septicemia and shock at 9:10 PM yesterday. However, the health condition of Jaga is stated to be stable, hospital sources added.
