Kendrapara: After the detection of first positive case of coronavirus, the Kendrapara district administration has sealed as many as 11 villages in order to contain the spread of the deadly virus.
According to Kendrapara Collector Samantha Verma, 11 villages in Aul area have been sealed and movement of the people in and out of the villages has been strictly prohibited.
He further said that house to house survey is being carried out for screening of the inhabitants.
The Collector also assured that the people don’t need to get panic.
The administration is taking all necessary steps to provide essential items to the households, he added.
The 32-year old male, who tested COVID-19 positive on Monday, has been shifted to Cuttack Ashwini Hospital for treatment. Swab samples of his family members have been collected and sent for testing.
The family members of the patient have been ordered to stay in home quarantine.
