Bhubaneswar: As many as 33,315 persons have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Odisha in two days.
This has been informed by Health and Family Welfare Director Bijay Panigrahi on Wednesday.
The third phase of COVID-19 vaccination drive began on Monday to inoculate senior citizens and people aged above 45 years with comorbidities.
A total of 20,952 senior citizens and 774 persons in the age group of 45-59 were given the first shot of vaccine on Tuesday and 11,589 senior citizens were vaccinated on Monday.
As many as 6,037 health workers were vaccinated on Tuesday, said the official.
He further stated that around 90 per cent health workers have been given the vaccine so far, of which 82 per cent of health workers have received the second dose.
