New Delhi: In a major development amid the Covid-19 crisis, the Supreme Court of India today took suo- moto cognisance of the prevailing grim situation in the country. The Apex court has sought a national plan on issues, including supply of oxygen and essential drugs for treatment of patients infected with the virus.
A bench headed by Chief Justice S A Bobde said it would also consider the issue pertaining to the method and manner of COVID-19 vaccination in the country. It would examine the aspects relating to power of the High Courts to declare lockdown amid the pandemic.
