New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has undergone a test for the COVID-19, while BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia and his mother Madhavi Raje Scindia have tested positive for the virus, according to reports.
Kejriwal, who had reportedly developed a fever and sore throat on Sunday, got himself tested to check if he has contracted the infection. The test reports are expected either tonight or tomorrow morning.
The Chief Minister has avoided meetings and visitors since Sunday afternoon, his party said.
According to media reports, Jyotiraditya Scindia and his mother Madhavi Raje Scindia have been admitted to a private hospital in New Delhi. While Jyotiraditya Scindia has showed symptoms of coronavirus, his mother remains asymptomatic, reports added.
Meanwhile, India today reported a spike of nearly 10,000 cases, taking the tally of infections to 2,66,598. Of these, 1.29 lakh are active cases, according to the Health Ministry data.
