Bhubaneswar: The Unit-I Haat (vegetable market) in Bhubaneswar was shifted to a new location in the wake of rise in the Covid-19 cases in the capital city.
The market was shifted to the Unit-I Boys High School playground in order to ensure social distancing and prevent the spread of the virus.
The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has urged the vendors to maintain a minimum 8 feet distance between two shops. Several marks have been made on ground for customers to maintain social distancing of 6 feet among themselves.
The civic body has also issued an order to all the vendors and buyers to strictly adhere to Covid-19 guidelines in the market.
Strict action will be taken if anybody violate the Covid-19 norms, the BMC stated.
