COVID-19 Vaccine: Envoys of 64 Countries Visit Bharat Biotech Facility in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Envoys of 64 countries today visited a facility of Bharat Biotech, which is developing Covaxin, India`s first indigenous vaccine for coronavirus, in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

The diplomats have reached the Genome Valley on the city outskirts to visit Bharat Biotech and Biological E.

The diplomats, who are on a day-long visit to Hyderabad, will see the facilities at the two companies for developing coronavirus vaccines. They will be briefed about the progress made so far in the development of the vaccines.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited Bharat Biotech`s facility to take stock of the vaccine development work.
