Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy will today review the state’s preparedness for the impending cyclone in the Bay of Bengal that may impact the state next week. The meeting will be held in the Lok Seva Bhawan and attended by SRC, Additional Chief Secretary Health and Family Welfare Department, DG Police, DG Fire Services and officials from NDRF and IMD.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the Low Pressure Area over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining south Andaman Sea, lay as a well marked low pressure area over southeast Bay of Bengal in the morning of 14th May which is very likely to become a Depression by Friday. It will further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm by Saturday.
