Bhubaneswar: In view of the cyclonic storm Jawad, the Odisha Government has announced closure of schools in 19 districts tomorrow.
The districts are Angul, Balasore, Cuttack, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Nayagarh, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Koraput, Rayagada, Khordha, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Malkangiri and Mayurbhanj.
School and Mass Education Department has issued notifications to the concerned District Collectors in this regard on Friday.
“All schools in districts of Angul, Balasore, Cuttack, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Nayagarh, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Koraput, Rayagada, Khordha, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Malkangiri and Mayurbhanj will remain closed on December 4 in view of the Jawad, adhering to the advisory of the Special Relief Commission(SRC)”, the notification reads.
