Bhubaneswar: In line with its mission zero casualty, the Odisha Government has so far evacuated as many as 1,55,129 persons from low-lying areas along the coast in seven districts ahead of cyclone Yaas, which is expected to hit the State tomorrow morning.
Maximum numbers of people have been evacuated in Bhadrak district (72970) , followed Balasore (46828), Kendrapara (18391) and Jagatsinghpur (9122), according to Odisha police.
Similarly, 3200 persons in Mayurbhanj and 3500 persons in Puri and 1118 persons in Jajpur district have been shifted from low-lying areas to safer places.
The Odisha Government is targeting to evacuate all vulnerable people by this evening.
