Deogarh: A Gram Panchayat Technical Assistant (GPTA) in Deogarh district has come under the scanner of Vigilance Department for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known source of income.
The Vigilance sleuths have conducted simultaneous house searches of Bikash Kumar Behera, Jr.Engineer(GPTA)Teleibani Block in Deogarh district at three places in Deogarh district.
Three teams comprising four DSsP, two Inspectors and other staff are conducting search on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets on the strength of search warrants issued by Court of Special Judge,Vigilance, Sambalpur.
The vigilance offers have unearthed one double storeyed building at Balam in Deogarh, 60 numbers of plots, 1 four wheeler and cash of Rs 1 lakh.
The search is in progress, the Vigilance sources said.
