Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik today said that the development of Balasore is his personal responsibility.
Addressing a virtual rally to garner support for his party candidate Swarup Kumar Das in the ensuing by-election to Balasore Sadar Assembly seat, Naveen said that he will personally monitor the development of Balasore district.
Naveen also recalled Vyasa Kabi Fakir Mohan Senapati and said that Vyasa Kabi is his favorite writer.
Naveen, addressing the people of Balasore, had narrated how Odisha has come long way since the devastating Super Cyclone of 1999. The cyclone had destroyed economy and infrastructure of Odisha. Today, the State is on the path of development and a role model in disaster management, he said.
Odisha is the only State in the country that provides free treatment to COVID-19 patients. The recovery rate is increasing in the State and the fatality rate is the lowest in the country, the BJD supremo said.
He also told the people that he will visit Balasore after the Corona situation becomes normal.
