Dhenkanal: The vigilance sleuths today arrested a Junior Engineer in Dhenkanal district while he was taking bribe from a person for releasing installment of IAY House.
The accused JE has been identified as Rashmi Ranjan Behera from Hindol NAC.
Behera has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance, while he was demanding and accepting bribe Rs.1500 from a complainant for release of last installment of Rs.40,000 of IAY House in the name of complainant’s mother.
The entire bribe money has been recovered from the JE and has been seized, the Vigilance said.
Simultaneous searches have been launched by the vigilance officers on properties of Behera at two places in Dhenkanal district.
