Dhenkanal: Vigilance sleuths have conducted simultaneous raids at properties of a police sub-inspector in Dhenkanal district on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by the cop.
Samarendra Samal, SI, Mahabi Road Out Post under Parjang Police Station in Dhenkanal, has come under the scanner of Vigilance.
Eight teams led by three DSPs, seven Inspectors and other staff are conducting searchs at 7 places linked with the SI.
The raids are conducted on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets on strength of Search Warrants issued by Court of Special Judge Vigilance, Dhenkanal.
The Vigilance officials have so far unearthed two double storeyed buildings at Dhenkanal town, one farm house under Gondia PS, Dhenkanal, gold about 300 gms and cash Rs 1 lakh.
The search is still underway, said the Vigilance.
