Cuttack: SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCB MCH), Odisha’s premier government healthcare institution at Cuttack, has achieved a feat by testing more than 20,000 samples so far.
According to the Health and Family Welfare Department, the SCB MCH COVID-19 testing team has so far tested more than 20, 000 samples.
The Health Department said that it is a great feet and congratulated the entire team of SCB.

Odisha has so far tested 91,223 samples at different centres including Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC), Bhubaneswar, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, SCB, Cuttack, MKCG, Berhampur, VIMSAR, Burla, ILS, Bhubaneswar and IGH, Rourkela etc.
Besides, the International Centre for Foot and Mouth Disease (ICFMD) at Argul in Khurda district has also started testing COVID-19 samples, following approval from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the Health and Family Welfare Department informed on Sunday.
The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Berhampur has also received the necessary approval from AIIMS-Bhubaneswar to conduct COVID-19 testing.
Earlier, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik directed the authorities to increase the testing capacity to 15,000 samples per day to cope with the emerging situation due to the return of Odias from other states.
