FIH Series Finals: India Beat Japan 7-2 to Enter Final

Bhubaneswar: India entered the final of the FIH Series Finals hockey tournament by defeating Japan 7-2 in the semi-final match at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on Friday.

Ramandeep Singh scored two goals for India while Harmanpreet Singh, Varun Kumar, Hardik Singh, Gursahibjit Singh and Vivek Sagar Prasad scored one goal each.

India will face South Africa in Saturday’s final while Japan will square off against USA in the third-fourth place play-off match.

South Africa had earlier defeated USA 2-1 in the first semifinal.

The FIH Series Finals provide two spots in the Olympic Qualifiers to be held in October-November this year.
