Bhubaneswar: A foreign returnee to Ganjam district has tested positive for COVID-19, informed an official.
A South Africa returnee from Ganjam’s Digapahandi tested positive for the virus. The person is symptomatic, but stable, said Director of Public Health Dr Niranjan Mishra.
He has been admitted to a hospital in Bhubaneswar and his family members have been kept under home isolation.
The positive sample has been sent to Institute of Life Science (ILS), Bhubaneswar for the genome sequencing, Mishra added.
