Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Crime Branch has arrested former Visakhapatnam (west) MLA Malla Vijay Prasad in a case related to Chit fund Scam. The Economic Offences Wing of the Odisha Crime Branch has arrested Vijay with the help of local police. Vijay is a senior leader of the YSR Congress Party and is currently the Chairman of Andhra Pradesh Education and Welfare Infrastructure Development Corporation. A case was registered against him by the Odisha Police in 2019 for duping investors.
