New Delhi: In a tragic incident, former Governor of Manipur and Nagaland, Ashwani Kumar found hanging at his residence in Shimla, according to media reports.
Ashwani Kumar, who was also former CBI Director, on Wednesday allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence.
The Ex-Governor was reportedly suffering from depression for some time now.
The Shimla police confirmed the incident, reports added.
A 1973 batch IPS officer, Kumar is survived by his wife and son.
