Bhubaneswar: The Gajapati district administration has restricted the celebration of Ganesh Puja at public places this year due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation in the district.
“Keeping in view of increasing number of COVID-19 cases prevailing in this district, the celebration of Ganesh Puja in public places i.e, (installation of Ganesh Idol at public places, setting up of puja pandals / tents & public gathering) are strictly
Prohibited”, an order issued by Gajapati Collector Anupam Saha said.
Prompt and strict legal action shall be initiated against the violators, it added.
