Bhubaneswar: All 52 fresh COVID-19 cases confirmed from Ganjam district today have been detected in quarantine centre.
This has been revealed by the Odisha Information and Public Relations (I&PR) department.
Notably, Odisha reported as many as 101 new cases this morning. Of the fresh cases, 52 were reported from Ganjam district, 33 from Balasore, seven each from Jajpur and Sundergarh and two from Keonjhar.
Giving details about the cases, the I&PR department informed that 90 of the new cases have been detected in quarantine centres, eight in containment zones and three are local cases.
52 positive cases in Ganjam, 2 cases in Keonjhar, 7 cases in Jajpur and 29 cases in Balasore have been detected in quarantine centres.
In Balasore, one case has been detected in containment zone and three cases are local primary contacts, the department said.
All seven positive cases in Sundergarh are primary contacts in containment zone at Rourkela, it added.
