Ganjam Lockdown: All Shops to Be Closed after 4PM, Admin Bans Vehicle Movement

Berhampur: The Ganjam district administration today announced that all shops including grocery, vegetable and fruit markets will be closed after 4PM to next day 7AM daily except medicine stores during the lockdown period.

“In order to contain the spread of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), all shops including grocery, vegetable and fruit markets will be closed after 4PM to next day 7AM daily during the lockdown period i.e upto March 29 except medicine stores”, informed Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange in a statement.

Besides, no private vehicles will be allowed to ply in the district without the permission from the administration, the Collector added.

He also urged the officials to strictly enforce lockdown and take legal action against the violators.
