Aska: Firecrackers worth nearly Rs 70 lakh was seized by the police in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Saturday.
The police conducted a raid on an illegal firecracker manufacturing unit in Aska and seized three truckloads of crackers from the factory, according to sources.
While three persons were arrested in this connection and 12 others fled.
Notably, the Odisha Government has banned the sale and use of firecrackers between November 10 and November 30 in view of the COVID-19 situation.
