Ganjam: Sadar Thana Area Declared Containment Zone after Six Police Personnel Test COVID-19 Positive

Berhampur: The Ganjam district administration today declared Sadar Thana area in Ankushpur GP under Kukudakhandi block as containment zone after six police personnel tested positive for COVID-19.

As part of the preventive measures to stop further spread of the coronavirus, the district admin has declared the Sadar Thana and market areas in Ankushpur village of Ankushpur GP as containment zone and surrounding villages as buffer zone.

Containment Zone covers following area:
Sadar Thana area
Market area

Buffer Zone covers following villages:

• Ankushpur (except the area covering Containment Zone)
• Raghunathpur
• Raijhola
• Masiakhali

Besides, Gouda Sahi of Ratnapur village in Ankushpur GP under Kukudakhandi block has also been declared as containment zone and surrounding areas as buffer zone after the detection of five positive cases of COVID-19.

1. Ratnapur (except the area covering Containment Zone)
2. Jagadalpur
3. Ambagada
4. Srikhetra Bihar

The movement of people inside the Containment Zones or to and fro from containment zones is strictly prohibited, the district administration said.

The order will remain in force till modified or revoked by the administration, said Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange.
