Berhampur: In a tragic incident, a youth identified as Sushant Nayak, son of former Pandiripada sarpanch was allegedly murdered at Badaichhapur village under Polasara police limits in Ganjam district last night.
Sushant and his friends were engaged in a group clash and sustained injuries in the brawl. They were admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital, where Sushant was declared dead.
Meanwhile, the police launched an investigation and mobilized forces in the village to avoid any untoward incident.
