Berhampur: A junior engineer in Odisha’s Ganjam district has come under the scanner of Vigilance for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets.
The Vigilance sleuths have conducted simultaneous raids at properties of Bainsidhara Sethi, Junior Engineer, R.W. Section-I, Digapahandi, under Rural Works Division No-II, Berhampur on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by the engineer.
Simultaneous house searches are being conducted by a Vigilance team comprising two DSPs, six Inspectors and other staff on Tuesday on the strength of search warrants issued by the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur.
The anti-corrupti Dist on officials have raided Sethi’s residential triple storeyed building at Shakti Nagar 2nd Lane, Berhampur, parental house at village Chirikipada Sasan, PS- Polasara, house of his relative at Lochapada, Berhampur and office of Sethy located at Digapahandi.
Search is in progress, the Vigilance informed.
