Govt Chief Whip Clears Air, Says Schools Being Merged, Not Closed to Provide Quality Education

Bhubaneswar: Clearing the air about the closure of the schools, Government chief whip Pramila Mallik, in a statement  in the Legislative Assembly today said that the Government is merging  the schools for quality education  not closing it down.

The motive of the government is not to deprive anyone of education, she added.

During discussion on a motion in the floor, Mallik said, there are many schools that have two teachers for mere eight students. Such schools will continue to run if the number of students increase.
