Bhubaneswar: Muslims across the world are today celebrating Eid-al-Adha or Bakra Eid. Celebrated as one of the important festivals to Islam, the Festival of Sacrifice marks the supreme sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim or Abraham to God.
Thousands of followers get together today at mosques to offer Namaz. On this festival of sacrifice, followers of Islam celebrate Eid al-Adha by sacrificing male goats. Muslims sacrifice an animal that is close to them to prove their devotion and love for Allah. Thousands of people in Odisha also gathered at the mosques to offer prayers.
