India Caseload Crosses 11 Lakh With Forty Thousand New Cases In Last 24 Hours

New Delhi: India’s Coronavirus infection numbers continue to grow undeterred and crossed eleven lakh with the addition of more than 40 thousand new cases in the last 24 hours.

According to data released by the central government, the total number of infections in the country stood at 11,18,043. In the last 24 hours India reported 40,425 new infections and 681 fatalities. The death toll in the country has risen to 27 thousand 497. More than 7 lakh people have recovered so far from the deadly virus.

Though the rising numbers are a concern for everyone, the silver lining is the country’s fatality rate is progressively falling and stood at 2.49 percent – one of the lowest in the world.

Globally, the Coronavirus numbers have increased to more than 1.4 crore and the death toll also crossed 6 lakhs.
