India: COVID-19 Caseload Crosses 27-Lakh Mark with 55,079 Fresh Cases

New Delhi: The total number of coronavirus cases in India rose to 27,02,743 with the detection of 55,079 cases and 876 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry data.

Currently, there are 6, 73,166 active cases. As many as 19, 77,780 patients have either discharged or migrant. The COVID-19 death toll in the country climbed to 51,797.

India’s COVID-19 tally had passed the 20-lakh mark on August 7.
