New Delhi: India saw its biggest single day spike of 75,760 positive cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, pushing the country’s tally of coronavirus to 33,10235.
According to the Union Health Ministry data, 25,23,771 patients have recovered from the infection in the country, taking the recovery rate to 76.24 per cent.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 death toll climbed to 60,472 with 1,017 fatalities reported on Wednesday. This is for the second consecutive day, more than 1000 Covid deaths have been reported in the country. The case fatality rate now stands at 1.83%.
