India Removes Restrictions on Export of Formulations Made from Paracetamol

New Delhi: The Union Government has lifted restriction on the export of formulations made from Paracetamol including Fixed Dose Combinations with immediate effect.

In a notification issued today, Directorate General of Foreign Trade said that formulations made from Paracetamol including FDCs have been made free for export, however, Paracetamol Active pharmaceutical ingredient, API, will remain restricted for export.

India exported formulations made from Paracetamol worth $5.41 billion during April-January 2019-20. It was $5.8 billion in 2018-19, as per reports.
