India Reports More Than 50K COVID-19 Cases for Sixth Consecutive Day

New Delhi: India reported more than 50,000 corona positive cases for the sixth consecutive day today, taking the number of COVID-19 infections to 18,55,746.

According to the Union Health Ministry data, another 52,050 persons tested positive for COVID-19 and 803 deaths in the last 24 hours.

The COVID-19 fatalities in the country reached 38,938. There are 5,86,298 active cases and 12,30,510 patients have been cured or discharged, the Health Ministry said.

The Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 65.77 per cent in the country, while the fatality rate is at 2.11 per cent, it added.
