India Reports More Than One Lakh Cases in Last Four Days, Caseload Nears 8.5 Lakh

New Delhi: India reported more than one lakh positive cases of Coronavirus in the last four days, taking caseload close to the 8.5 lakh mark.

According to the Union Health Ministry, 28,637 cases have been registered across the country and 551 deaths in 24 hours.

It is for the ninth consecutive day that coronavirus cases in India rose by more than 22,000.

With the fresh coronavirus cases, the COVID-19 tally jumped to 849,553 in India, including 292,258 active cases.

A total of 534,621 people have been recovered from the infection.

As many as 22,674 people have succumbed to the virus, the Ministry of Health said.
