India Sees Record Single Day Jump In Coronavirus Cases as Tally Crosses 37,000

New Delhi: Even as the nation braces for Lockdown 3.0 from 4th May, the number of infections continue to rise nationwide. In the last 24 hours, India recorded more than 2290 Coronavirus cases, highest in a single day, taking the total number of infected people to more than 37 thousand.

The number of deaths linked to the deadly disease has increased to 1218 with Maharashtra leading the list. In the last 24 hours, 71 deaths were reported from various states.

The recovery rate in India has also seen some improvement with 26.64 per cent by this morning. A total of 9,951 patients have recovered so far in the country.
