India’s COVID-19 Tally Crosses 46 Lakh Mark with Record Single Day Spike of 97,570 New Cases

New Delhi: India’s COVID-19 tally crossed 46 lakh mark on Saturday with the record single day spike of 97,570 infections and 1201 deaths in the last 24 hours, informed the Union Health Ministry.

The COVID-19 caseload in the country stands at 46,59,985 including 9,58,316 active cases. While 3,624,196 patients have been discharged. The death toll stands at 77,472.

The overall number of global coronavirus cases has topped 28.3 million, while the deaths have increased to over 9,13,000, according to the Johns Hopkins University.
