India’s COVID-19 Tally Touches 6,48,315 with Biggest Single Day Spike of 22,771 Cases

New Delhi: India witnessed its biggest single-day spike of 22,771 of COVID-19 positive cases in the 24 hours taking country’s coronavirus tally to 6,48,315, according to the Union Health Ministry.

This is for the second straight day when coronavirus cases have increased by more than 20,000. There has been an increase of 4,57,780 COVID-19 cases from June 1 till date.

The country also recorded 442 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of death toll to 18,655.

Currently, the total number of active cases stand at 2,35,433.

As per the Health Ministry, the COVID-19 recovery rate of the country improved to 60.80 per cent.
