India’s Largest Hockey Stadium: Sundergarh People Felicitate Naveen For The Historic Decision

Bhubaneswar: The decision taken by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to build the largest hockey stadium in the country at Rourkela has been welcomed by everyone. A large number of people from Sundergarh including common men, intellectuals, hockey enthusiasts and hockey players today felicitated the Chief Minister at his residence for the historic decision. A rally was taken out from the Airport to Naveen Niwas on this occasion.

The decision to build the largest hockey stadium in Sundergarh district at Rourkela has elated the people of the region. Sundergarh being the cradle of Hockey, has produced giants like Dilip Tirkey and numerous others who have brought laurels for the country.

The government of Odisha has also decided to build stadiums in each block of the district where modern training facilities will be provided. The government proposes to appointed coaches at these training facilities soon.
