IPL 2020: SRH vs KXIP – SunRisers Hyderabad Outclass Kings XI Punjab To Win By 69 Runs

Dubai: David Warner-led Sunrisers Hyderabad beat KL Rahul’s Kings XI Punjab by 69 runs in the 22nd match of IPL 2020 on Thursday at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. A stunning knock by Jonny Bairstow (97 off 55 balls) and an excellent bowling display by Rashid Khan 3 for 12 in 4 overs saw SunRisers Hyderabad comprehensively beat Kings XI Punjab.

Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner wins toss and elects to bat against Kings XI Punjab. Jonny Bairstow and David Warner bludgeoned the bowling attack and smashed 58 runs in the powerplay. The duo continued their onslaught and slammed boundaries at regular intervals. Warner scored 52 off 40 balls while Bairstow smashed 97 runs in just 55 balls to help SRH put a competitive target 201 for 6 in 20 overs against KXIP.

However, that could not change their defeat as KXIP were all out for 132 in 16.5 overs. The Punjab Kings have lost their key batsman KL Rahul (11 off 16 balls) and Mayank Agarwal (9 off 6 balls) inside five overs. Except for Nicholas Pooran (77 off 37 balls; 5 fours and 7 sixes) fight, nothing worked for Punjab and suffered a 69-run lose in the end. It is SRH’s third win from six matches. Jonny Bairstow got the Man of the Match.
