ISRO launches PSLV-C51 Carrying 19 Satellites

New Delhi: India’s premiere space organization ISRO today successfully launched PSLV-C51 that carried Brazil’s Amazonia-1 and another 18 small satellites.

PSLV C-51 took off from the first launch pad of Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SHAR), exactly at around 10.24 am. This is ISRO’s first mission in 2021. The main pay load of the rocket, Amazonia-1 was injected into the orbit about 18 minutes after the lift-off. Chennai based Space Kidz India (SKI) also sent a picture of Prime Minister Narendra in the mission.

Also, a miniature Bhagvat Gita in a SD Card has also been sent through the rocket. This is the first dedicated commercial mission of NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), ISRO’s commercial arm.
