Joint Teams Inspect 10 Hospitals to Check Compliance of Covid Protocol

Bhuaneswar: Rising trend of Covid 19 cases in capital city has become a cause of concern for everybody. Even health institutions are now falling prey to the situation due to less care and non adherence of guidelines furnished by the Govt. The case of a hospital containing 27 of cases has forced the civic authority to seal the hospital.

For a greater public interest with instruction of BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary teams in three zones have inspected different health service providing institutions today. Three Zonal Deputy Commissioners namely Pramod Ku. Prusty for north zone, Ravinarayan Jethy for SW zone and Ansuman Ratha for SE zone have lead the team for the inspection today.

The team comprises BMC Officials, Enforcement team of BMC and BDA, Health department personnel and Commissionerate police personnel.

All the three team made their move from respective zones and conducted thorough inspection at Kara Clinic, Nilachal hospital, Mohan Diabetics Centre, kalinga Hospital, Care Hospital, Apollo Hospital,Usti hospital, Health Village hospital, Ruchika Nursing Home and vivekanada hospital.

The teams checked whether the hospitals followed proper IEC, Social Distancing , information about suspected cases,proper steps followed before treatment, documentation of cases, sanitisation, waste disposal and strict adherence of guidelines.

However no hospital has been given closure notice. Further decision will be taken based on the inputs the teams obtained during the inspections of the hospitals.
