Named after the great ruler Kharabela, the iconic building situated in the heart of the Capital city will usher in a new era of transformation and governance.
Kharavel Bhavan has been built keeping in view the growing demands for convergence of various activities so that there will be smooth functioning and coordination between different departments. The new secretariat building is going to lead the industrial development of the state as it would have all the major departments associated with the growth and development of the state.
The thirty thousand square meter building built over an area of 8.3 acres of land will accommodate eleven departments that are presently functioning from the Lok Seva Bhavan.
Important departments that are associated with industrial growth of the state such as the Industries Department and the MSME Departments have been allotted space in the Kharavel Bhavan. While both the departments share the seventh floor of the building, it will help better coordination among them.
