Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government is mulling to track attendance of students and teachers at the state-run schools from Lok Seva Bhawan.
The School and Mass Education Department will introduce online attendance system at school for remote monitoring from Lok Seva Bhawan, sources said.
The new attendance system will be introduced in one school of every district on trial basis. The selected schools will be connected to the Lok Seva Bhawan online for monitoring purpose.
Besides, a new student helpline number 14417 has been launched by the State government on this occasion.
School and Mass Education Minister, Samir Ranjan Dash said that 100 schools will be identified as ‘School of Excellence’ where spoken English and computer education will be imparted.
For this purpose, other infrastructure-related assistance will be provided to those 100 schools, the Minister said.
