Bhubaneswar: After two years, the Board of Secondary Education Odisha is conducting the Matriculation Examinations in offline mode. The Matriculation Summative-II exams commenced today in which more than 5 lakh 85 thousand students are attending. Along with the Matric, Madhyama and State Open School Examination students are also writing the examinations from today. The Board has made elaborate arrangements for the statewide examinations. For the first time arrangements have been made for the students to write their examinations in their own schools or the nearest ones. Keeping in view the heat wave conditions, all the examinations will be held from 8AM to 10 AM.
The Boards has constituted special squads including Board officials, district education officials, Mass Education Department officials and the district administration officials for invigilating the examinations. The Board has set up 3,540 examination centres for the smooth conduct of the examinations including 315 Nodal Centres.
