Mo Sarkar Impact: Seven Arrested In Dharmagarh For Black Marketing Blood

Bhawanipatna: As part of the Mo Sarkar initiative, the Kalahandi police today arrested seven persons for selling blood illegally at the Sub-Divisional Hospital at Dharmagarh.

The arrested people include two lab technicians and five middlemen.

These arrests were made after Collector Parag Harshad Gavali made a surprise visit to the hospital and reviewed various issues and took feedback from the patient on the services being provided to them.

During interaction with patients and their attendants, the collector received a complaint regarding payment of money for blood replacement. While enquiring, it came to light that there are some illegal discrepancies in supply of Blood. The Collector immediately swung into action and ordered the SP to look into the matter.

The swift action by the police resulted in the arrest of seven persons who were involved in the business of illegal blood collection and selling.

The surprise visit was part of the Mo Sarkar Initiative wherein officials including the Collector goes on surprise checks to oversee the service delivery mechanism being provided to the people.

Meanwhile, Collector Parag Harshad Gavali, said, “For the government, the satisfaction of patients has to be 100 percent.”
