Modi To Discuss Situation With CMs Today; Revival of Economy And Easing Of Lockdown High on Agenda

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a meeting with the Chief Ministers of various states at 3 pm today to discuss the current situation in the country arising out of Coronavirus pandemic.

The meeting comes at a time when India has recorded 63 thousand positive cases and more than 2200 deaths due to the virus.

Today’s meeting adds importance as the center is trying to activate the economic activity in the country and gradually ease the countrywide lockdown. Prime Minister Modi may discuss ways with the Chief Minister on further measures to boost economic activities.

The meeting will also review India’s success in containing coronavirus disease. Being held through Video Conferencing, the meeting will also be attended by Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan and senior officials from the centre.
