Bhubaneswar: In a major relief to the people, Commerce and Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera said the wrong challans have been a headache for the citizens and they will be refunded for wrong challans.
He further stated that challans will be issued to those who will violate traffic rules based on CCTV footage.
After the State Transport Authority had directed all Collectors, SPs and Deputy Commissioners of Police to strictly enforce the road safety regulations, challans were issued to owners and drivers of all types of vehicles as part of enforcement of traffic rules across the State.
