Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the commencement of the Monsoon Session of the Odisha Assembly on the 29th of this month, the process of Covid-19 testing continued for the second day today. Along with the members of the Assembly, a large number of staff and media persons were tested today for the Coronavirus. the security personnel engaged in the assembly are also being tested. The testing will continue on Monday also.
The decision to test the members of the Assembly, staff and media persons was taken on Friday’s all party meeting called by the Speaker Surya Narayana Patro. The tastings are being carried our BMC and Assembly staff. Long queues were seen today inside the assembly premises for testing.
According to a notice issued by the Security Officer of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, a minimum number of Print and electronic media members will be allowed to attend the assembly for coverage of the daily proceedings. All the media persons have to undergo Covid-19 test. The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation will also sanitize the Assembly premises on Monday afternoon.
The Assembly Session will start on Tuesday and continue till 7th October. There will not be any question hour during the session.
