Monsoon Session Of Odisha Assembly Will Have No Question Hour

All members of the Odisha Assembly and staff will undergo Covid-19 testing which will commence from tomorrow morning

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the Monsoon Session of the Odisha Assembly, Speaker Surya Narayan Patro today convened an all party meeting and discussed various issued related to the conduct of the house. The meeting was attended by Minister Parliamentary affairs, Opposition leader, Congress Legislature Party leader and Government Chief Whip. The meeting discussed various precautionary measures to be taken in view of the Coronavirus Pandemic. It was decided in the meeting that there will not be any Question hour during the session due to precautionary measures.

The Monsoon session will start on the 29th of this month at 11 am. The session will have two sittings daily with the first sitting being held from 10.30 AM to 1 PM and the second sitting from 3 PM to 5 PM.

It was decided in the meeting that all the members of the Assembly will be tested for Covid-19. The staff of the Assembly will also undergo Covid testing. The testing of staff will start from tomorrow and members will be tested afterwards. The monsoon session of the Odisha Assembly will have eight working days in total.
