Motivated By Naveen’s Mantra, Gunupur MLA Visits Inaccessible Village Walking Four Kilometers

Gunupur: Raghunath Gomango, the first time legislator from Gunupur has proved that leaders need not have all the amenities to serve the people. Be it fulfilling their aspirations or listening to their problems, if the leader has the will, there is always a way out. Added to this, when the leader is inspired by none other than Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, it becomes more plausible. Raghunath Gomango, the legislator from Rayagada’s Gunupur had to walk around four kilometers to listen to the people who have voted him to power.

He went to an inaccessible Kondabaridi village in Ramanaguda block to listen to their problems. He also assured them to construct a road for their village. This initiative of the MLA has been hailed by the people of the village and Ramanaguda block.

Gomango, the first time MLA, was seen marching in the hilly terrain towards the village with his supporters to meet the villagers. The village was never visited by any political leader in the past and hence the villagers were very happy to see him.

He listened to their demands and also assured the senior citizens to take steps to provide them old age pension.

A civil supply officer by profession, Gomango left his job and joined the BJD to contest the last elections.

With a motto of serving the people, he has started his political journey. And the inspiration behind the MLA is none other than the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Naveen had given a mantra to all the newly elected members to have a simple life and work for the people.

The CM had also asked the legislators to strengthen the party, reach out to the people and ensure that they get all the facilities provided by the government. He had suggested the leaders to dedicate themselves to work for people, be kind and live an uncomplicated life.
